Daily after-school life
Homework help, snacks, free play, movement, creativity, conversation, and clubs are part of a predictable and welcoming afternoon rhythm.
Everyone belongs
Brooks Unified Community is a planned safe, supportive, inclusive after-school program where young people with and without disabilities build friendships through shared interests and meaningful experiences.

More than after-school care
The program is designed to support working families while giving students opportunities to grow socially, practice independence, discover new interests, move, create, lead, and become part of a unified community.
Students may participate in dance, pickleball, cornhole, bocce ball, yoga and movement, arts and crafts, gaming, bell choir, special-interest clubs, homework time, free play, and leadership opportunities.
Peers participate as genuine teammates and friends—not as helpers assigned to a child.
A flexible community with purposeful structure
Homework help, snacks, free play, movement, creativity, conversation, and clubs are part of a predictable and welcoming afternoon rhythm.
Students may register for specific interests and attend consistently so skills, teams, and relationships can develop over time.
Young people help plan activities, welcome others, contribute to projects, support events, and discover how their strengths benefit a group.
Communication access, regulation supports, adaptive equipment, thoughtful staffing, and individual planning help more students participate safely and meaningfully.
Who it is for
Students with and without disabilities participate together. Families register in advance so Brooks can plan staffing, supervision, transportation, snacks, space, and the supports needed for safe participation.
Planned hours
Brooks plans to coordinate practical arrival options, including direct transition for Brooks students and possible pickup from select local schools as staffing, vehicles, routes, and enrollment allow.
Brooks Unified Community will create regular reasons for young people to see one another, work together, have fun, and be needed.
